Data sovereignty
Your data stays in your perimeter — by default.
Aegis is designed so that raw telemetry and evidence remain under your control. You decide what leaves, and every export is recorded.
Defaults
What happens to your data
Raw logs and evidence stay local
Telemetry, raw logs and evidence are retained by the customer-edge service inside your perimeter by default.
Metadata only, by default
The control plane receives the metadata it needs to coordinate cases and approvals — not the underlying raw data.
Exports need approval
Moving evidence outside your perimeter requires an approval under your policy, and every export is written to the audit trail.
No raw logs to external AI
Customer raw logs are not sent to external AI services by default. Any such use must be explicitly enabled by you.
Customer-hosted AI processing
AI processing can run on infrastructure you host, so analysis happens where your data already lives.
Visible, auditable decisions
Who viewed, exported or acted on evidence is recorded, so data handling can be reviewed after the fact.
Your choices
Sovereignty is configurable, not assumed.
Defaults are conservative. Where you choose to share more — for example, forwarding selected evidence to a managed service provider — the choice is explicit, scoped and recorded.
